Data Use Policy
NYC Violation Leads is built for business-to-business marketing and research using public records. By using it you agree to these rules.
Allowed
- Introducing your product or service to businesses and professionals in the data.
- Market research, territory planning and sales prioritisation.
- Checking the public record of a business you already work with.
Not allowed
- Any use covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act: deciding eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, tenancy or similar.
- Calls or texts that ignore the TCPA, the National Do Not Call Registry or state telemarketing laws. Auto-dialled or prerecorded calls and texts need the prior express consent those laws require.
- Emails without a working unsubscribe and a physical address (CAN-SPAM).
- Tenant screening, or any decision about renting to, leasing to, evicting or housing anyone. The housing violation records in this service must never be used that way.
- Reselling, publishing or giving the data to anyone else.
- Harassment, discrimination, or contacting people at home about matters unrelated to their business.
